Is Steam down?

The status at the top of this page comes from Hyperping checks of Steam, run every minute and refreshed on the page every 60 seconds. Green means the latest checks succeeded; red means they are failing, confirmed from several regions.

We monitor 3 Steam services every minute, in turn from Virginia, Frankfurt and Singapore: Store (store.steampowered.com, up on a successful response), Community (steamcommunity.com, up on a successful response) and Steam Web API (api.steampowered.com, up on a successful response). When a check fails, other regions check again before that service counts as down. Steam counts as down when all of them are, and as partly down when only some are. We check the store, the community and the Steam Web API. Steam's own connection servers, used by the client to sign in and play online, are not public URLs: they can fail while all three answer.
