Is Google Drive down?

The status at the top of this page comes from Hyperping checks of Google Drive, run every minute and refreshed on the page every 60 seconds. Green means the latest checks succeeded; red means they are failing, confirmed from several regions.

We monitor 2 Google Drive services every minute, in turn from Virginia, Frankfurt and Singapore: Drive on the web (drive.google.com, up on a successful response) and Drive API (www.googleapis.com, up on a 403 response). When a check fails, other regions check again before that service counts as down. Google Drive counts as down when all of them are, and as partly down when only some are. Without an account, drive.google.com sends us to the Google sign-in page, so we check that Drive and Google sign-in answer, plus the Drive API that sync clients and apps use. Neither proves that your files open.
