When an agent stops reporting, the server goes stale, then offline, and that opens an outage which runs the bound escalation policy exactly like a failed HTTP check. When New Relic is the right call

New Relic wins on APM, distributed tracing, log management, NRQL query power, browser real user monitoring and mobile monitoring. Hyperping does none of those. If your on-call debugging starts with a slow endpoint and ends in a flame graph, or you need to correlate a log line with a trace ID, stay on New Relic and pay for the platform.
