When an agent stops reporting, the server goes stale, then offline, and that opens an outage which runs the bound escalation policy exactly like a failed HTTP check. New Relic: the first full platform user is free, so four engineers means three billed seats: three at $549 list = $1,647/mo, or $1,047/mo at the $349 committed rate, before any ingest above 100 GB. Downgrading two people to $49 core users saves money and takes away most of what they came for.

Hyperping: $74/mo on Pro covers 20 server agents, 100 monitors, 3 status pages, on-call and 5 seats. Extra servers are $2/month, extra seats $9/month.

New Relic wins on APM, distributed tracing, log management, NRQL query power, browser real user monitoring and mobile monitoring. Hyperping does none of those.
