If you browse from the US or elsewhere you will see different numbers, and I have not converted anything, so check the page from your own location.
Is UptimeRobot pricing worth it?
For a hobby project or a small internal setup, UptimeRobot is close to unbeatable on price because the Free plan already covers 50 monitors, more than any competitor I know of. The value question only starts once you need something the Free plan withholds: sub-5-minute checks, a teammate who can log in, SMS alerts, or more than one status page.
At that point the plan structure gets less obvious. Solo at €9 to €10 gives you faster checks and seats but cuts you from 50 monitors to 10. Team at €35 to €41 is where the plan feels complete for a small company, and it is a fair price for 100 monitors at 30-second intervals. The parts that surprise people are the extras: seats and credits are billed in a different currency from the plan, and the 30 SMS credits on Team can be gone after one month of flapping alerts.

What is UptimeRobot?
UptimeRobot is one of the oldest and most widely used uptime monitoring services. It checks HTTP endpoints, ports, ping, keywords, APIs, UDP, DNS records and SSL certificates, alerts you when a check fails, and publishes public status pages. It is best known for its free tier, which has kept a large monitor count for years and made it the first monitoring tool many developers set up. The paid product adds faster intervals, status pages, seats, SMS and voice alerts and longer retention, and it stays a focused uptime tool with no log management or tracing.
How much does UptimeRobot cost?
UptimeRobot sells flat monthly tiers rather than per-monitor or per-seat pricing, with the annual price selected by default. Here are the five tiers as displayed to European visitors.

Where a cell says "not shown", the plan card I read did not list a figure, and I would rather leave a gap than guess. The credit ranges depend on which variant of the plan you select. One smaller detail: Team and Scale include a discount on an IsDown subscription (30% on Team, 50% on Scale, included on Enterprise).
Why does the Free plan include more monitors than Solo?
This is the odd part of UptimeRobot pricing. Free gives you 50 monitors. Solo, the first paid tier at €9 to €10 a month, gives you 10, so upgrading from Free to Solo cuts your monitor allowance by 80%.
Solo is priced for a different need. It buys 60-second checks instead of 5-minute checks, 3 status pages instead of 1 basic one, 3 login seats instead of none, and a small SMS bundle. It is a plan for one developer who runs a handful of services and wants to hear about downtime within a minute, and the wrong plan for someone with 40 endpoints to watch.
The practical rule: if your constraint is monitor count and 5-minute checks are fine, stay on Free. If your constraint is speed, seats or status pages and you have 10 or fewer services, Solo works. If you need both, the answer is Team, and €35 to €41 is what faster checks on more than 10 monitors actually costs on UptimeRobot.
Where does the UptimeRobot bill grow?
The plan price is flat, so the growth comes from two add-ons and one tier boundary. None of them is hidden, but they are easy to skip on a first read because they are shown in a different currency and outside the plan cards.
Extra login seats are priced in US dollars
Solo bundles 3 login seats and Team bundles 5. Past that, the page lists additional login seats at $15 to $19 per seat per month. The seat price is in USD while the plan is quoted in euros, so you are adding up two currencies, and a single extra seat costs more than the whole Solo plan.
For a 10-person engineering team on Team, that is 5 extra seats at $75 to $95 a month on top of the €35 to €41 plan, so the seat line outgrows the plan line. UptimeRobot's answer is notify-only seats, which receive alerts without a login, and for people who only need to be paged that is the right choice.
SMS and voice credits are a one-time purchase
Each paid plan bundles some credits (10 to 20 on Solo, 30 on Team, 50 to 200 on Scale). Beyond that, you buy one-time packs, priced in US dollars:

Thirty credits on Team is roughly one SMS a day. A flapping monitor during a bad week can consume the entire bundle, and reviewers in our sample described exactly that with slow-response alerts. Push, email and Slack do not use credits, so reserve SMS and voice for the checks that need to wake someone up.
The jump from 100 to 200 monitors
Team stops at 100 monitors. There is no monitor add-on pack on the page, so monitor 101 means moving to Scale at €65 to €77, which nearly doubles the plan cost for an allowance that doubles to 200. Scale also brings 15-second checks, unlimited status pages and 24-month retention, so if you only need 120 monitors at 30-second intervals you are paying for speed and retention you did not ask for. The Scale card also lists a 500-monitor tier without a separate price on the card I read, so I will not quote one.
A realistic Team bill
Take a small SaaS company with 8 people who need to log in, 90 monitors, and a habit of using SMS for critical alerts.

The plan is under half of the total and the seat line is the largest item, which is the pattern to watch on UptimeRobot: the plan is cheap and the seats are not. Trim logins to the people who configure monitors, put everyone else on notify-only seats, and the same company pays about €35 plus $12.50.
What do users say about UptimeRobot pricing?
I have not run a fresh survey for this guide, so I will keep this to the sample I collected earlier for our reviews round-up. Across the 48 recent G2 reviews in it, UptimeRobot averaged 4.8 out of 5, the free tier was the single most praised thing about the product, and the price of the paid tiers rarely came up as a complaint.
The criticism is on Reddit and X: legacy plans being repriced (one user reported going from $8 to $34 a month), SMS credits drained by false-positive or slow-response alerts with no refund, and a 2024 terms-of-service episode around commercial use on the free tier. If you are pricing UptimeRobot for a company rather than a side project, read those threads before you build on the Free plan.
UptimeRobot pricing by team size
The same four tiers land differently depending on how many people and services you have.
Hobby projects and solo developers
Stay on Free. Fifty monitors on 5-minute checks with a basic status page covers a personal site, a few APIs and a home lab with room to spare. Move to Solo at €9 to €10 only if you need 60-second checks or status pages for a client, and remember you drop to 10 monitors when you do.
Small teams of 2 to 5 people
Team at €35 to €41 is the plan built for you. Five login seats means nobody pays for extra seats, 100 monitors is enough for a small product, and 30-second checks mean you hear about an outage in under a minute rather than up to five minutes later. Budget a $15 credit pack or two per year for SMS.
Growing SaaS teams of 6 to 15 people
This is where you should model the bill before you sign. On Team, every login seat past 5 costs $15 to $19 a month, so a 12-person team that gives everyone a login adds $105 to $133 in USD on top of a €35 to €41 plan. Decide early who configures monitors and who only needs to be alerted, and use notify-only seats for the second group. Past 100 monitors, Scale at €65 to €77 is the next step.
Larger fleets and enterprises
Scale covers up to 200 monitors, with a 500-monitor tier above it, unlimited status pages and 24-month retention. Past 500 monitors, or if you need faster than 15-second checks or custom terms, you are into Enterprise and quotes that I have not seen. The pricing page does not say which enterprise features, SSO included, sit behind that tier, so ask before you assume. At this size the seat pricing matters more than the plan price, so get quotes on the same monitor and seat counts from more than one vendor.
How to keep your UptimeRobot bill low
- Stay on Free until you hit a real limit. Fifty monitors at 5 minutes is more than most small setups use, and the plan has no time limit.
- Do not upgrade to Solo for monitor count. Upgrade to it for 60-second checks, seats or status pages, and go straight to Team if you need volume and speed together.
- Take the annual toggle if you will stay a year. It saves €12 a year on Solo, €72 on Team and €144 on Scale, with a 14-day money-back window if you change your mind.
- Audit login seats every quarter. Each one over the bundle is $15 to $19 a month, and anyone who only receives alerts belongs on a notify-only seat.
- Buy the 500 credit pack, not the 10. Per credit that is $0.11 versus $0.30, and route routine alerts to Slack, email or push so credits go only to pages that need a phone.
A flat-rate alternative: Hyperping
Now the part where I have a stake, so treat it accordingly. Hyperping does the same core job as UptimeRobot, uptime checks and status pages, and adds on-call schedules, escalation policies and phone call alerts inside the plan price. It is priced in US dollars, seats included. The comparison people usually ask for is UptimeRobot Team versus Hyperping Essentials, because both are the first tier with 30-second checks.

Read that table without my bias and UptimeRobot Team wins on volume: twice the monitors, more seats and far more status pages for a similar monthly figure. Hyperping's argument is what is bundled and how the extras are priced. On-call scheduling and escalation policies are on Essentials, phone call alerts are on every paid plan, and an extra seat is $7 rather than $15 to $19. If you need 100 monitors and 5 seats on Hyperping, that is the Pro plan at $89 a month, or $74 annually, which costs more than Team, so on monitors per euro UptimeRobot is cheaper.
Above that, Hyperping's Business plan is $299 a month, or $249 annually, with 1,000 monitors, 20-second checks, 10 status pages, 15 seats, SAML SSO and audit logs. UptimeRobot's Scale is faster at 15 seconds, and its Enterprise tier covers larger fleets at prices I cannot quote. The Free plans differ too: Hyperping's is 20 monitors on 5-minute checks with a status page, UptimeRobot's is 50.
Choose Hyperping if you want 30-second checks, a status page on your own domain, on-call rotations and phone alerts in one predictable bill, and your monitor count is under 50 (Essentials) or under 100 (Pro).
Stay on UptimeRobot if you need the largest free tier, the most monitors per euro, or 15-second checks at Scale prices, and your team fits inside the bundled seats.
