We've completely overhauled API authentication to give you the flexibility and security modern teams need:
- Multiple keys per project: No longer limited to a single token—create separate keys for production, staging, CI/CD, and more
- Named organization: Label each key by purpose for easy identification
- Flexible expiration: Set keys to expire in 1 hour, 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or never
- Enhanced security: New
sk_prefix format with 384 bits of entropy - One-time display: Keys shown only once at creation with clear security warnings
- Usage tracking: Monitor when each key was last used
- Expired key history: View recently expired keys from the last 30 days
- Backward compatible: All existing API tokens continue to work seamlessly
