Hyperping is a comprehensive uptime monitoring and status page platform that helps businesses maintain transparency with their customers and reduce support overhead.
Reduce support ticket volume by proactively communicating service status directly in your Intercom messenger. Hyperping automatically shares incident updates and maintenance notifications with customers, while allowing them to subscribe to email alerts straight from the chat interface. This keeps customers informed without them needing to ask, significantly decreasing status-related inquiries.
With built-in monitoring for websites, APIs, SSL certificates, and custom endpoints, Hyperping detects issues before customers experience them. When incidents occur, automatic status updates flow directly to your Intercom conversations, ensuring transparent communication and reducing the burden on your support team. Customers can easily subscribe to ongoing updates, creating a seamless experience that builds trust while minimizing support overhead.
After installing the app from the Intercom App Store, you'll be automatically redirected to the Hyperping integration settings where you can connect your existing Hyperping account via OAuth authentication.
You can also connect directly by visiting your Intercom integration page and clicking "Connect via OAuth".
Once connected, you'll be presented with a dropdown menu to choose which status page will serve as the data source for your Intercom integration. Select the status page that contains the monitors and services you want to share with customers and support staff.
On the Intercom side, go to Settings → Channels → Messenger → Web, hit "Customize Home with apps" and add Hyperping.
When chatting with customers, your support team can instantly display current service status and allow customers to subscribe to updates without leaving the conversation.
When Hyperping detects outages or you schedule maintenance, status updates automatically appear in relevant customer conversations. Subscribed customers receive email notifications throughout the incident lifecycle.
Tip: We recommend testing your integration to make sure it's working correctly. You can create a test monitor or trigger a test incident to verify that status updates appear in your Intercom messenger as expected.
