Notification channels

Subscribers is an optional feature. You can select none, or up to 4 different notification channels: email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or SMS.

Visitors who would rather not subscribe at all can follow your incident history through RSS and Atom feeds, which sit in the same Notifications settings and work independently of this toggle.

Slack

Subscribers can choose to receive notifications via a Slack channel.

When clicking on "Get updates via Slack", the user will be redirected to a Slack authentication page, and they will be invited to select which channel they want to receive notifications to.

Microsoft Teams

Subscribers can receive notifications directly in their Microsoft Teams channels.

To set up Teams notifications, users need to:

  1. Create a new workflow in Teams

Go to Teams and create a new workflow by clicking "+ New flow".

  2. Pick the webhook template

Select the "Post to a channel when a webhook request is received" template.

  3. Copy the webhook URL

Create the flow and copy the provided webhook URL.

  4. Paste it in the subscription form

Paste the webhook URL in the subscription form on your status page.

SMS

To enable SMS notifications, you will need to connect your own Twilio account. Read the docs here.

Manually add/import subscribers

You can manually add subscribers via your status page's settings, in the "Subscribers" tab. You can add up to 500 email addresses at once, with each address either on a new line or separated by commas. Only email subscribers can be added manually: Slack, Teams and SMS subscribers must subscribe through their respective channels.

When you create an incident and select affected services, notifications will only be sent to subscribers of those specific services.
