## How to Use This Document

To quote pricing for a customer, follow these steps:

1. **Determine their needs:** Monitoring count, server agents, status pages, team size, and required features (SSO, on-call, browser checks, etc.).
2. **Identify the plan:** Match features against the Plan Comparison tables below. If a feature is only available on a higher tier, that's the minimum plan.
3. **Look up the base price:** Use the Plans table (monthly or yearly).
4. **Add any add-ons:** Check if the customer needs additional seats (tiered by plan: $7/mo on Essentials, $9/mo on Pro, $12/mo on Business), server agents, status page SAML SSO connectors, or SMS credits. Look up each add-on price.
5. **Calculate total cost:** Total = Base Price + sum of all applicable add-on prices.
6. **Enterprise:** If requirements exceed Business plan limits (custom monitors, contracts, or white-glove migration), direct the customer to sales.

- **Monitor**: An HTTP, port, ping, or keyword check against a URL or endpoint.
- **Server agent**: A lightweight agent installed on a host to collect CPU, memory, disk, and network metrics.
- **Metric history**: How long server metric data is retained and queryable in Hyperping.
- **Server alerting**: Alerts triggered from server metric thresholds (e.g. high CPU or low disk space).
- **Browser check**: A headless browser-based synthetic check that can interact with pages.
